| The Plain an Gwarry was found in most medieval communities in Cornwall and survives in a few notably St Just in Penwith. These were out door rounds that performed the functions as theatres, for wrestling, fairgrounds and most notably the Cornish language miracle plays that were so popular. The Plain in St Just now stages these plays occasionally for the benefit of local people.
