Cornwalll was one of the centres of the Celtic Church in the Dark Ages. The Celtic Church diverged in many ways from its Catholic brother for example in the way that it calculated Easter and the tonsure or haircut the celtic monks had. The age of Saints in Cornwall describes this fertile period for missionaries in the ancient Kingdom of Kernow and names such as
