| Cornish Carols | |||
| The Cornish preserved many of the customs of Christmas that we neglected or abandoned by the rest of the world and famously developed carol singing traditions. In particular the tunes of Thomas Meritt which can be still heard throughout Cornwall.
Ralph Dunstan, in his book The Cornish Song Book (Lyver Canow Kernewek) 1929 lists the following Carols as commonly sung in Cornwall. Each carol listed below is linked to Hymns and Carols of Christmas database which provides sheet music and in some cases midi files to download. Angels From The Realms of Glory Arise And Hail The Glorious Star Awake With Joy, Salute The Morn! Come, Let Us Lift (The Prince of Life) God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen (I & II) Hark What Mean Those Holy Voices Hark, What Music Fills Creation (Hark What Mean Those Holy Voices) (Angels From The Realms of Glory) O Well!
